I’m just very happy these days…
If you’ve seen me over the last few days you’ll notice this really awkward, cheesy, and kind of creepy smile on my face at the most random times. I am really happy. This weekend, Ruth and I joined the most amazing team! We are honored to serve at REAL Church and know we are here to be a part of what God is doing in Detroit. Yes, ministry is stressful and stretching and all those other adjectives, but we are here to serve Jesus and those He is seeking. There is NOTHING else we would rather do! So yeah, I’m happy!

Such exciting times!! I like your observation from Sunday, Chris! Also, I think you should tell your proposal story…I’d like to hear about this urinating deer ?!

Here’s the story (Ruth can revise if she wishes)…
We went for a walk on the nature boardwalk at Maumee Bay State park near Toledo. It was a warmer November day. There was diminishing snow on the ground. We were the only people out there it seemed and some deer (like 20 or 30) came very close to the boardwalk. We were checking them out and sat down. I reached for the ring in my pocket and just as I was about to pop the question a young deer began relieving himself in the snow right in front of us. Totally killed the moment. We kept walking and I found another spot.
